This book is not about religion but about finding the hope to keep pushing ahead each day especially when the end of the tunnel appears dim. This is not a book of memoirs or an autobiography but rather, a compilation of “ah-ha” moments—a revealing of important personal life revelations. My goal is not to convert anyone to my faith but to show how my faith has impacted my existence. My goal is also, to tell the truth from my perspective. This book holds neither material for a man bashing session nor is it a praise piece for women, but it serves as a confirmation that if you ask God, He will travel with you on your journey.
Growing up and overcoming the consequences of bad decision making due to not having the daily guidance and attention of my father has become a major part of my testimony. Abandonment and rejection are real feelings with real consequences that can lead to unhealthy behaviors. By no means is my story a unique one or the most heart rendering. I am no special case in terms of my struggles, but I am bold enough to speak out and be vulnerable before the world in anticipation that someone will find a hope-filled path for their own life experiences. I believe that the sincere love and guidance received by a daughter from her father is like clean, fresh and pH-balanced water; it’s crucial.
This book is for the daughter who never knew the love of her biological father and thereby searched for love in strange places. This book is for the young lady whose father was home but his undivided attention was elsewhere and as a result, she does “the most” for male attention. This book is for the woman who knew her Dad and knew he loved her but didn’t experience that love on a daily basis. To every young woman for every time you really wanted to say no but used sex to keep him attentive and to every young woman who self-medicates to numb the pain of not feeling good enough, this book is for you!

This reading was short and powerful; I could truly relate to some of the emotion and thoughts the author shared throughout the book.I look forward to future readings......

I love the honesty of this book. It's an easy read, and so many girls and women can relate to it. Men as well of they want to do better with their relationships with the women in their lives. It shows how you can have so much good in your life and still fill a void.
Easy read! I love how she shared her pain and I'm sure she helped so many women with coping with different scenarios of life.

I expected one thing and received something totally different. I am so impressed with Ms. Brandy's courage and transparency. Bless her for allowing God to use her trials to hopefully guide others to victory.
I love this book. It proves that no matter the ups and downs if you keep your faith in God he will see you through. And to think outside of the box and to start over.
